Enjoy more server resources for your websites
The one and only main issue we have been facing on our shared hosting servers was, a couple of accounts would consume most of the server resources, mainly memory, which cause the server to have less free resources for other users. Our servers have got very good specifications in terms of hardware, however most of the customer websites couldn't enjoy this at various times, or even for a considerable period, because one or two websites would consume bulk of the server resources. So we have brought in a new system to ensure that the server resources are being consumed almost equally by all users on our servers. This way, just a couple of accounts can't consume all of the server resources. The new system would restrict server resources such as CPU, Memory and number of processes for each account.

Each account can use upto the following resources at any point of time:
378M of RAM
1 core CPU
50 processes

The above setting is more than required for all except the aforementioned accounts which would be needing excessive resources. You can see the status of resource usage on the left side of your control panel.

New Website Builder Application
This is to inform that we were forced to discontinue the Website Builder software that has been running on our server for the last couple of years due to the lack of support from the software vendor. The server where the software was installed was having relatively old hardware configurations as well as old software versions. We have been trying to upgrade the software, however there was no way to upgrade the hardware with the old software and finally the server upgrade was inevitable. The server has been upgraded now and we are happy to inform that we will have an alternate website builder application in place very soon. We're currently preparing to work on the setup of the application and hopefully it will be ready soon. We apologize for any inconvenience caused due to the non-availability of website builder at this moment and thank you for your patience!

FormMail Removal
Due to abuse by spammers we have had to stop the use of formmail on our servers. We are sorry for the inconvenience. For email forms we recommend using the nms scripts at http://nms-cgi.sourceforge.net/scripts.shtml because they were written to be more secure, using strict settings. Do not name your script using the words mail, formmail, or contact. Our servers are constantly being scanned for these names and if a form is found with these names it will be disabled. Be sure the path to perl in the script is /usr/bin/perl and that the script is uploaded to cgi-bin in ASCII mode. Permission should be set to 755.

Webalizer Stats
Webalizer stats has been removed due to the toll it takes on the servers resources (CPU/memory). Customers will notice major improvements in the stability of the servers once this package has been removed. If you want to enable webalizer, please send a support ticket and we will enable it just for your account.

Banned Scripts
The following scripts are banned from our servers due to the risk of abuse or the nature of the software and its negative impact upon the servers. They are:

- nph-proxy
- The Anonymizer
- UltimateBBS (all versions)
- Ikonboard (all versions)
- IRC Egg Drops & IRC related programs. (chat software)
- Proxy Servers
- lstmrge.cgi
- Greymatter (all versions)
- Shell, SSH, Telnet Scripts and Shell, SSH, Telnet Alternatives
- Any script that uses & processes a massive number of flatfiles or large flatfile databases.

Please remove the above scripts if you have them installed on your account. We are enforcing this policy in order to maintain a reliable experience for you and your clients.
